He did his pre university course from andhra loyola college and later he get admission in to guntur medical college, guntur. He completed m.s.(gen. Surgery) from medical college, rohtak, haryana and m.ch. ( pediatric surgery ) from all india institute of medical sciences, new delhi.
He worked as a senior resident in pediatric surgery at kalawathi saran children hospital attached to lady hardinge medical college, new delhi in 1975 and later at aiims, new delhi till 1978.

He joined the A.P.Medical and Health Services in september, 1978 and he was posted to GGH / GMC, Guntur as asst. Professor of pediatric surgery and in charge of the dept.of pediatric surgery . He was promoted and elevated to the post of prof and head of the department of pediatric surgery in 1984.
He is member of many academic bodies and attended many national, international, state and regional conferences, where he presented many scientific papers. He was felicitated by many governmental and non governmental institutes on many an occasion for his extraordinary talent and skill in pediatric surgery. He earned international reputation with "separation of conjoined twins " and for "devising an operation on a rare case of duplication of stomodum (double mouth)".
He visited many hospitals in u.s.a and u.k and gave his valuable scientific lectures at the invitation of the medical universities.
